CLASSEN receives the German Innovation Award 2024 for CERAMIN

CLASSEN proudly received the German Innovation Award 2024 in the ‘Excellence in Business to Business’ category for its innovative strength and pioneering technology. It is again that the award honored products, technologies and services that break new, innovative paths to offer solutions to the industry. The chosen winners and their products stand out due to their added value for users and the environment.

The German Innovation Award is organised by the “Rat für Formgebung”, a leading global competence centre for design, brand and innovation. With over 330 members, it has been promoting exchange and networking in the global design community through international programmes, support for young talent and events since 1953. The jury of the German Innovation Award is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from the fields of technology, digitalisation and science. Lutz Dietzold, Managing Director of the “Rat der Formgebung”, emphasised the importance of targeted innovations for the future viability of companies and praised the diversity of the award-winning projects, which not only offer added value for the industry, but also for society and the environment.

The German Innovation Award of 2024 received significant acclaim, drawing 520 submissions from 23 countries. Within every category, the jury bestowed numerous ‘Winner’ accolades, recognizing innovative advancements that propel their respective industries with originality, execution, and impact. Notably, CERAMIN distinguished itself with its distinctive technology and emphasis on recyclability, further highlighting its significance within the landscape of innovation.

CERAMIN, a PVC-free wall and floor covering material innovated by the CLASSEN Group, is distinguished by its environmentally and health-conscious composition. Comprising 60% mineral filler and 40% polypropylene (PP), it offers a sustainable alternative to traditional SPC and rigid floor coverings. Introduced in 2015 to address contemporary demands in living and working spaces, CERAMIN boasts exceptional durability, moisture resistance, and dimensional stability alongside its eco-friendliness. These attributes collectively impressed the jury of the German Innovation Award, underscoring its significance in the realm of sustainable innovation.

Moreover, CERAMIN’s accolades extend beyond the German Innovation Award, encompassing prestigious honors such as the Green Collection Award, the Eifel Award, and the Interzum Award in recent years. These recognitions underscore CERAMIN’s trailblazing innovation and reaffirm the CLASSEN Group’s unwavering dedication to delivering sustainable, high-quality flooring solutions.
