Cairo Woodshow to witness biggest participation this year

Cairo WoodShow will be hugely supported by at least 110 exhibitors from 24 participating countries as it holds its fourth edition on November 30 to December 3, 2018 at Cairo International Exhibition Centre in Nasr City, Egypt.

 

This year will have the biggest participation of major wood and woodworking machinery players from North Africa as well as exhibitors from China, Turkey, USA, Vietnam, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, and Spain. At the event, exhibitors can showcase their new products and innovation to over 8,000 anticipated specialized visitors.

 

The show’s newest feature, the International Buyer Program, will facilitate regional and international business deals to further boost the growth of timber industry in Egypt and the whole region. Walid Farghal, Director General of Strategic Marketing and Exhibition, the organizer of the event, said, “There is a growing global interest in Egypt’s timber products. It is imperative not only for Egypt but for the rest of North Africa to keep pace with the developments and practices in the industry to be globally competitive.” Farghal also added that Cairo WoodShow is an ideal platform to show application of latest technology in wood and woodworking machinery that reduces the cost while increasing the capacity of production to assist wood businessesin gaining a leading edge in the competition.

Cairo WoodShow is part of a series of global WoodShow events that are also being staged in Dubai and in Gabon. Last year’s Cairo edition hasattracted over 8,000 specialized visitors from 20 countries. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco were among last year’s top ten participating countries.

 

Cairo WoodShow will be held under the patronage of Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industryand in partnership with the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC), European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers(EUMABOIS), Italian Woodworking Machinery and Tools Manufacturers (ACIMALL), Woodworking Machinery and Side Industries Businessmen Association (AIMSAD), American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), and Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (ATIBT).
