Bürkle collaborates with Plantag Group to achieve flexible compact system

Super matte and soft-touch surfaces without excimer and cost-intensive nitrogen? High gloss with excellent process reliability – without a complex basic structure? And surface resistances that can otherwise only be achieved with electron beam hardening?

Well, Bürkle has all the answers!

Bürkle GmbH, a known name of the woodworking industry has recently tested flexible compact system for high-quality UV surfaces.

But what is the principle?

The principle: a simply primed surface is coated with a UV coating using a roller. This layer is then cured under a special film with UV light. The film used determines the properties of the surface – by simply changing the film, both high-gloss and super-matt surfaces can be produced on the same system in a very short time.

Bürkle did it possible with their partner Plantag Group. With the demand for flawless surfaces and attractive designs, they develop advanced coating lines. Bürkle’s spray coating, roller coating and printing machines are adapted to the individual requirements of their products and thus offer application-specific processes for the coating of different materials.

They have intensively tested the process on their Calander Coating Inert system – with impressive results on various wood-based materials.

Bürkle will be at LIGNA to showcase all their innovations right at their stand from May 26th onwards at Hall 17/F19.
