Arquima, a company that specialises in premium industrialised construction—one of the primary solutions to the present issues facing the wood-based construction industry—actively participated in the Valencia Housing Conference, which was organised by the University of Valencia’s Joan Plaza Auditorium-Jardí Botànic on June 11 and 12, 2025. The Generalitat Valenciana (Generalitat Valenciana), the EVha (Valencian Housing and Land Entity), the IVE (Valencian Building Institute), and the technical working group of the (AVS) Spanish Association of Public Housing and Land Managers have joined forces to make this conference a major gathering for discussing the near future of affordable housing. Professionals, government agencies, and specialised companies like Arquima convened during the event to examine how industrialisation might hasten the creation of affordable, ecological, and efficient housing for everybody.

Valencia’s renown and PERTE housing

The conference’s main focus will be “Agile Industrialised Construction of Affordable Housing,” which would include a €1.3 billion public investment over the next ten years and promote the central government’s PERTE (Perte) housing proposal. By 2035, the government wants to have built 20,000 industrialised dwellings, with an average of 15,000 per year. Social groups like young people will have better access to housing thanks to this style of building, which will cut down on construction durations by 20% to 60%. The establishment of a Construction Industrialisation City at the Port of Valencia’s ZAL (Zal Zone) was also declared by the government.

The Valencia Housing Conference program features real-life success stories in modular and industrialised housing, panel talks with architects and industry experts, and lectures on finance and bidding. José Antonio González, CEO of Arquima, specifically took part in the panel discussion “Capacity and Production Times of Industrialized Housing” on Thursday, the 12th, at 12:15 p.m. to support initiatives that encourage quicker, more efficient construction that is dedicated to protecting people and the environment.
