Ahlstrom, a global leader in fiber-based specialty materials, has become a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), aligning itself with a global coalition committed to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainability. Through this partnership, Ahlstrom aims to contribute to critical environmental objectives, including climate action, clean air and water initiatives, decarbonization, biodiversity preservation, and the reduction of plastic pollution.
Ahlstrom’s President and CEO, Helen Mets, expressed the company’s commitment to advancing sustainable solutions, stating, “Sustainability is at the heart of Ahlstrom’s mission. Joining WBCSD gives us the opportunity to work with other industry leaders to tackle global challenges and move closer to a circular economy.
