ADLER, Austria’s leading paint manufacturer, presented its pioneering NXT technology at the SICAM trade fair. The innovative new solution, which produces ultra-matt, scratch-resistant surfaces without requiring complex industrial machinery, was met with exceptional enthusiasm and became the star attraction of the event.
A Trade Fair Triumph for ADLER
SICAM 2023 marked a milestone for ADLER, drawing a record number of visitors to their redesigned exhibition stand, where NXT technology was showcased through a unique hands-on experience. Designed by ADLER Italia’s team, including Key Account Manager Giulio Zanin and furniture industry technician Mauro Toscano, the stand featured individual samples displayed on a table, enabling visitors to see and feel the NXT coating firsthand.
“The excitement surrounding our technology was palpable,” shared Dr. Alessandro Marchi, Managing Director of ADLER Italia. “Our booth was buzzing with interest, and we welcomed a significant number of new contacts eager to learn more about the future of surface coatings.”
Redefining Surface Coatings with No-Excimer Technology
NXT technology stands out by achieving the sophisticated look, texture, and resilience of excimer technology – yet requires none of the costly excimer systems typically involved in creating such finishes. Daniel Pesserer, ADLER’s sales manager for the furniture sector, explained: “Our NXT coatings provide the aesthetics and durability our clients demand, while being easy to apply and cost-effective – a breakthrough for high-quality, accessible surface finishing.”
The NXT technology captivated both local and international visitors, further underscoring SICAM’s role as a global hub for furniture and surface innovation. Dr. Marchi praised ADLER’s performance at the event, calling it their “most successful showing at SICAM to date.”
ADLER’s Legacy of Innovation and Environmental Commitment
Founded in 1934 by Johann Berghofer and now led by Andrea Berghofer, ADLER has become Austria’s foremost producer of varnishes, paints, and wood preservatives, with a workforce of over 730 employees. From its Schwaz, Tyrol-based facility, ADLER produces approximately 21,000 tons of varnish annually, distributing products to over 30 countries worldwide.
ADLER also champions environmental responsibility; it was one of the first companies in its industry to achieve climate-neutral production in 2018. Through a combination of ecological initiatives and certified climate protection projects, ADLER continues to minimize its environmental footprint, solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable manufacturing.
As ADLER’s NXT technology advances into the global spotlight, the company reaffirms its dedication to cutting-edge, eco-conscious solutions that will define the future of surface finishing.
