halstrup-walcher to exhibit innovations at LIGNA show floor:

 Tuesday, May 7, 2019

With industry 4.0 is here, halstrup-walcher has taken an important step to improve the overall performance of the wood industry by introducing a range of latest positioning system. halstrup-walcher is known for supplying complex mechanical, electronic and software solutions to customers around the world. The company is one of the first drive technology manufacturer to supply integrated direct drives with IO-Link interfaces.

halstrup-walcher offers complex electronic, mechanical and software solutions to clients across the world. Some of the prominent products of halstrup-walcher included the positioning system for automatic format changeovers in the machine as well as a pressure measurement technology for air-conditioning and OEM applications as well as clean areas. The company also produces unique services for the mechatronic drives and calibrations. halstrup-walcher this year is participating in LIGNA 2019 scheduled at Hannover from 27th of May to display its latest innovations in the range of positioning systems- the first direct drive for format changeovers and to include the option of using an IO-Link interface for control purpose.

PSD series is now upgraded with an advanced stepper motor and is also equipped with relevant subsystems, like, control, incremental or absolute measurement system. This can run in a speed up to 1,500 RPM which makes them the perfect choice wherever machine axes need frequent adjustment to handle small batches. Groundbreaking introduction of an IO-Link control interface now drives to offer a whole host of new advantages. Not only can they be controlled through run commands, but the interface also makes it possible to read out large quantities of feedback data from the drives (condition monitoring) and use this information for predictive machine maintenance – along with data from other IO-Link sensors. The drives are connected using a single unshielded 3-core cable with IO-Link master and can then be implemented on any customer-specific fieldbuses. At LIGNA in Hall 16 halstrup-walcher will exhibit its host of collection to the woodworking world.
