Massimilano Pauro:

Massimilano Pauro:

We had a chance to communicate with Massimiliano Pauro, General Manager GREDA Srl who shared the latest from the company while highlighting their presence at Xylexpo, current market, plans going ahead and more in an interview with Apratim Ghoshal, editor-in-chief, Wood & Panel from Xylexpo showfloor. Excerpts.

How is the show so far?

Massimilano Pauro: Today is the first day so, let’s say thinking about how to promote our brand much more in the first day. So, that’s why in the same time, we are even proposing our machine that you can see in our booth here. Also, we have even have open hours internally that we are very close to the exhibition in Milan because for us, the most important thing is today is to show the capabilities of all the machines to our customers, to our networks. Because, today as you know, we are showing our machines specifically for woodworking applications and these machines are exhibiting in Milan but the amazing thing is that from where that we can provide the supply solutions even in a different field for aluminium, plastic, fiber, raw material and solid wood as well. With the 5-axis technology with high-level quality machines, I think that this very important and we are happy and we expect that all the customers from worldwide are coming to our booth from Europe, USA and Asia as well.

Italy is a big market, so beside Italy, which are the important market in Europe you are focusing?

Massimilano Pauro: Italian market covers up 50% of our turnovers but the rest is splited in I think more than 40 different countries. Oviously the countries with much more opportunity are US and Canada but now to be honest we are working well in Asia in all the Southeast Pacific area and these are the most important countries for us and geographical area where all the solid wood is the base of this kind of job and they are using a lot of our machines and we are growing and we would like to do much more in that area as well.

Do you have any subsidiary in Southeast Asia?

Massimilano Pauro: No, we have only dealers and partners because the most important thing in our job is to have a very good partner locally that can provide not only our machines but even services spare parts and training for our customer.

What would be your expectation for the rest of 2024 or early 2025 for your business?

Massimilano Pauro: We are developing in a few countries especially in India. The big project with big customers and we are really focusing even to provide a customised solution because we really trust that our skills and our knowledge could be helpfully for all the customers who are not looking for something standard but they want to really speed up the production they want to really increase the technology inside and we have big project in India as well and I think that 2024 will be focused on that kind of project just to show exactly how biggest could be the capability of  Greda.

2025 is the year of LIGNA and it’s a very big opportunity for all. What do you think?

Massimilano Pauro: Yes, everybody is waiting for LIGNA next year because let’s say that today LIGNA could be one of the most important international exhibitions for our job. I think that we have a hard job to do this year to be ready in 2025 and with new machines and new solutions I hope even out of the woodworking field.
