In an exclusive interview with Wood & Panel, Gianni Radaelli, Export Sales Manager of Greda srl speaks on his experience at IndiaWood and further plans. Read on.
Tell us about your experience in IndiaWood?
Gianni Radaelli: I joined this exhibition because I was informed that Indian market is growing and thus the opportunity is very big. And I am really impressed. There are so many people around who are really interested to know about Italian machinery. They want to know about the possibility to use our CNC machine in their production. It means that Indian market is in a quest for technology. It’s not, anymore like the past, that India means low level cost. Now it means technology and Indian customers are interested to speed up the production and quality. In fact, the big suppliers from Italy and Germany, who are present here, are very satisfied about the result. Whenever we are meeting, all of us are talking the same thing that the market is increasing and thus India is a good opportunity. Greda is here for developing. So, my mission in this IndiaWood is to find a solid partner and introduce Greda as a supplier.
I would be very soon come again here in Bangalore because this is our next step as people are already asking when I would come again!
So, would India now look forward to DIVA and MITIKA?
Gianni Radaelli: Yes, DIVA is very good for Indian market because it’s a small version but very suitable. The Indian people, especially in the software, are very smart and we are very happy that they are capable to understand the software of Greda. You can come up with many solutions with this small machine, especially for the chair market where you don’t need to invest much and yet you have full production. Also, another machine with most requests is MITIKA. MITIKA is a CNC-machining centre with 5 interpolating axes engineered especially to process routing and turning operations of solid wood elements. I would like to share good news; we are planning to have a showroom here in Bangalore where both DIVA and MITIKA will be available. We will soon update the industry about our presence in India.
