Versowood is all set to accelerate the production power of Vierumäki unit’s annual sawmill production from the current 475,000 cubic metre level to more than 600,000 cubic metres. The company has decided to replace one of their sawmill lines in Vierumäki and create a new green sorting line during the spring of 2022. This investment will soon enhance the cost efficiency and productivity of the line and unit.
The sawmill line will be delivered by Veisto Oy from Mäntyharju and the green sorting line by Jartek Oy from Lahti. The total value of the investments will reach about MEUR 15. At the same time, the annual sawmill production of the company will increase to more than 1.5 million cubic metres.
The company estimates that the current fiscal year, ending 6/2021, will reach a turnover of more than MEUR 450 and a total production quantity of approximately 1.4 million cubic metres sawn timber.
