UAB Juodeliai relies once again on Microtec

 Friday, February 4, 2022

UAB Juodeliai relies once again on the innovative technologies of Microtec. Microtec will begin the installation of a new CT Log that will effectively increase quality and result in better yield in Lithuania. The CEO of UAB Juodeliai, Ignas Stasiukonis, states, “The Microtech solutions installed so far significantly increase the productivity of the sawing line, which promotes sustainable processing of the material and improves the yield and quality of the final products. With the upcoming installation of the CT Log, we expect a significant increase in quality and yield to meet the current market demands better,” so Stasiukonis.”

The log yard commissioned in 2020 with Microtech scanner technologies and software solutions will have an integrated CT Log. This plant will ensure shorter process lengths, especially hardwoods. The CT Log will also show strength in industrial hardwood sorting. In summer 2020, the CT Log integrated is expected to be rescheduled. The main motive behind the re-integration is the full quality detection of birches and highly accurate underbark contour detection.

Chief Sales Officer at Microtec, Arianna Giudiceandrea, has this to say about the new integration, “The scanner and associated software components were ordered in parts by the customer during Ligna 2019, already with the idea of integrating a CT Log at the log yard in the near future. We are very pleased that UAB Juodeliai has now decided to take the final step in the project and integrate the CT Log. The pre-planning makes the installation of the scanner next summer immensely easier, as the existing log yard already has the optimal conditions for the installation of the machine.”

UAB Juodeliai, along with the CT Log integration, has also stepped in for the installation of the Microtec WInlog GPS System. This system helps them achieve optimal loading vehicle optimisation with the shortest distances. The company has also invested in simulation tools for work preparation using automatic cutting pattern generation handling customer requests, production cost, and the existing log inventory to maximise yield.
