Setra has named Marcus Westdahl as the company’s new CEO. Westdahl, who is serving as the current CEO of EFG European Furniture Group, has held several senior positions in the wood and paper industries over the past 20 years, priorly. The wood industry company, Setra’s present-day CEO Katarina Levin informed the Board in October 2022 that she would be stepping down from her role for personal reasons in conjunction with the company’s Annual General Meeting in May 2023.
“We are very pleased that Marcus Westdahl is taking over as CEO of Setra. He has extensive experience in leading positions in the furniture and paper industries and has achieved very good results,” says Anders Källström, Chairman of Setra.
Setra has recently made serious investments in new, contemporary machinery at several of its factories, including new drying facilities and new machines that improve production. The business has expanded its wood industry centre in Lngshyttan and established a brand-new trimming and planing line in Hasselfors. There, the business produces glulam, CLT, joists, and other components.
Marcus stands out for his ability to build and lead successful teams as well as his deep interest in sustainable development, addresses Anders Källström. According to Anders Källström, they are certain that Marcus is the best candidate to guide Setra’s further development while placing a strong emphasis on enhanced value, competitiveness, and sustainability.

Setra has great opportunities to continue its positive development even in a somewhat tougher market, and it is on a journey that I am really looking forward to help shape,” says Marcus Westdahl.
The date when Marcus Westdahl will take over as CEO will be announced during the spring, the company added in the statement.
