For the second year in a row, REHAU was awarded the gold medal of the EcoVadis rating agency for its great commitment to sustainability. The world’s largest provider of sustainability ratings for companies, EcoVadis shows how well companies integrate sustainability principles into their business and management systems.

Sustainability is an integral part of REHAU’s corporate strategy and is actively practiced. From modern recycling management to energy-saving products and processes to the promotion of diversity, the company is making a significant commitment and has now been rewarded once again.

Sustainability REHAU Group

We believe it is our duty to meet the needs of the present without compromising the prospects of future generations. This means taking good care of society and the environment as well as acting responsibly in all that we do. Sometimes this means making tough decisions that put planet before profit and people before products.

With a total score of 71 out of a possible 100 points, the REHAU Group achieved gold certification for the second year in a row, placing it among the top 5 percent of all participating companies and the top 2 percent in the plastic products industry. In total, EcoVadis evaluates over 100,000 companies worldwide.

“Sustainability is not a state, but an active process where standing still means regression,” explains Andreas Jenne, Head of Sustainability for REHAU Industries. “And that’s why we are particularly pleased that our scores in the EcoVadis rating have continued to improve over the years. On the one hand, this shows our great commitment, and on the other, it confirms the course we have taken.”

EcoVadis

The independent rating agency EcoVadis has been evaluating the sustainability performance of companies in the categories of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement since 2007. The methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000, and covers more than 200 spending categories and over 160 countries.
