REHAU: Strong partner for carpenters and interior decorators
With its stand concept, REHAU is shining a light on the needs and requirements of interior decorators and carpenters. The company, which in the past has focused largely on retailers, is now addressing them directly since the launch of the campaign ‘Idea. Project. Success. – creative interior design systems’ late last year. “We want to make work easier for craft professionals and show them new possibilities,” explains Thomas Ponater, Head of Product Management, Retail and Interior Decoration at REHAU. “That doesn’t mean that our existing successful retailer model will change. Sales will still be handled by specialist retailers.” He added further.
However, REHAU had targeted handcraft professionals at this trade fair. At HOLZ-HANDWERK, from 16 to 19 March, numerous products, along with processing methods, special services and even living environments offered inspiration for your own furniture creations. It presented ideas for kitchens, living areas, retail environments and bathrooms, in which the various REHAU products are put to inspiring use – combining maximum decorative freedom and outstanding design in one.
From surfaces to roller shutter doors and decking boards
REHAU offers the right solution for every environment. RAUVISIO crystal, for instance, completely eliminates the disadvantages of real glass, while combining its positive qualities with those of thermoplastic laminate. This flexible glass is particularly well suited for interior decoration and handcraft contexts, as it can easily be processed using normal woodworking tools.
Just in time for HOLZ-HANDWERK, REHAU expanded its range of surface materials yet again: the structural laminate RAUVISIO wave, for instance, can be used for fronts. With RAUVISIO karat, visitors expected a world first, presented for the first time in mid-March in Nuremberg. ‘The carpenter’s stone’ – a paradox that perfectly captures the new surface material from REHAU. RAUVISIO karat, the innovative polymer stone, combines the rigor and stability of real stone with the advantages of polymer materials. Its consistently positive qualities make RAUVISIO karat extremely versatile and, like other renowned RAUVISIO materials, it can be treated with standard woodworking tools.
The RELAZZO decking system is all about the freedom to implement design ideas in outdoor settings – without high-maintenance wooden boards. The wood-polymer mix looks just like a wood product, but its optimal qualities win out when it comes to processing, maintenance, resilience and surface feel.

To demonstrate processing possibilities at HOLZ-HANDWERK, REHAU focused on RAUVISIO crystal – the innovative glass laminate that combines functionality with easy workability and a near limitless array of design options. At the special processing station at the trade fair stand, demonstrations were given of individual applications and simple material processing, without special tools.
