Ground-breaking ceremony for REHAU

Rehau

REHAU celebrates ground-breaking ceremony on May 4, and the polymer processor gave the starting signal for the construction of a new production hall on Sudetenstraße in REHAU. Across approximately 4,100 square metres, an ultra-modern production building will be built in the coming months, into which the production of conductor rails for underground and suburban railway operation will move. This is a production and assembly centre for the REHAU Industrial Solutions Division. The total investment including the technical equipment amounts to about 5 million euros. The new building is scheduled to be occupied by the end of 2022.

“With the advanced production line that is moving in there, we are securing our competitiveness for the coming years. The new building allows us to optimise our manufacturing processes and to react accordingly to the increased order intake. This will enable us to realise further sustainable growth,” explains Division Manager Dr Ralf Dingeldein.

The planned investments amount to a total of 5 million euros and are a clear commitment to the Rehau site. “Our existing production at the Rehau plant is staffed with highly qualified specialists. Of course, we want to use this potential to supply our customers all over the world. We will start in December with the existing team, but will successively need more employees,” says Ralf Dingeldein, “and more than double the number.”

The official ceremony was also attended by Rehaus’ 1st Mayor Michael Abraham, Annika Popp for the county of Hof, for the economic region of Hochfranken Dr Hans-Peter Friedrich and Susanne Lang, the representatives of the Upper Franconian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Gabriele Hohenner and Michael Bitzinger, who praised the commitment of the internationally active company and broke ground together with the regional construction companies involved, the head of the Railway Solutions unit Lee Gregory, and the member of the REHAU Industries Executive Board, Dr Ralf Dingeldein.

“We are pleased to be able to set the course for growth at our headquarters in Rehau,” says Dr Ralf Dingeldein.
