Domotex Turkey, the popular carpet flooring fair will not happen in July 2020, and is postponed to 2021. Growing uncertainties due to the sudden outbreak of pandemic novel coronavirus, COVID-19, the organisers have decided to postpone the show to next year. They stated, “We are deeply sorry to inform you that Domotex Turkey will not take place in 2020 as a consequence of the latest developments related to the Corona Virus (COVID-19/Sars-CoV-2).” The organisers are in talks with the exhibitors and will soon declare the new dates of 7th Domotex Turkey in 2021.
Last year Domotex Turkey brought together the leaders of flooring sector with the support of Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO), Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters’ Union (GAHIB) and Gaziantep Chamber of Carpet Producers and Weavers (GHO). The show is expected to bring the best from the industry once again in the next edition.
Domotex Turkey offers a platform to domestic and international exhibitors to improve their existing relationships in the international markets and establishing relations with new countries and buyers as well. As part of the International Procurement Delegation Program organized with the support of the Ministry of Trade, foreign delegations visited the show and held bilateral business negotiations throughout the four-day period with the intention of signing off on new partnership deals with exhibitors.
Belkıs Ertaşkın the Hannover Fairs Turkey’s Deputy General Manager stated on the culmination of 2019 edition, that “After the DOMOTEX Shows in Germany, USA and China, this year DOMOTEX Turkey show, we welcomed the world’s carpet professionals in Gaziantep. Witnessing a steady increase in the number of its exhibitor firms and visitors each year, the show is a meeting point for procurement delegations from leading firms of the sector and the Turkish business world.”
