 Tuesday, January 5, 2021

‘brette haus’ is a tiny prefabricated living unit that can be installed on a site in only three hours and can relocate an almost unlimited amount of times thanks to its unique 100-cycle hinge system. This extraordinary and unique looking wooden cabin can be placed on any leveled base as it does not require permanent foundations.

Its construction offers upgraded features and uses CLT (cross-laminated timber) to decrease the impact of manufacturing on the environment, providing a low-emission housing solution.

Latvia-based brette haus designs and manufactures prefab houses, while the ‘brette 20’ (pictured here) took the company eight weeks to manufacture and deliver to the baltic seashore. Designed for comfortable and affordable living. the wooden homes can be installed quickly and without permanent foundations, offering an ideal solution for tourism and festival accommodation. all sanitary and electrical engineering are already prefabricated, while the floors, walls and ceiling are built with solid wood.

Moreover, the prefab home’s construction employs an exceptional hinge system to deliver 100 folding cycles, while this unique folding technology allows to relocate up to four ‘brette 20’ houses at once with a regular 12-meter platform with an area of 22 sqm, ‘brette 20’ offers space for three people. The ground floor can fit a table with chairs and a sleeping sofa, while the mezzanine above offers space for a bedroom for two.
