PONSSE’s Bison forwarder to be premiered at LIGNA 2019

 Friday, April 26, 2019

PONSSE is gearing up to premiere the powerful and fastest Bison forwarder at the showfloor in Hannover from May 27 to 31. This robust technology could successfully transport up to 16 metric tons of logs from the harvest site to log landing with consummate ease. It’s the new Bison Active Frame from PONSSE, and it’s display is scheduled at the upcoming LIGNA show in May 2019. The harvester will be on display at the stand of German forestry machinery supplier Wahlers Forsttechnik, on the show’s open-air site.

Ponsse Plc is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cut-to-length forest machines. The harvester will be on display at the stand of German forestry machinery supplier Wahlers Forsttechnik, on the show’s open-air site. PONSSE’s new Bison is the fuel-efficient, low-emission engine and a CVT gearbox that means it can go from 0 to 20 km/h without changing gear.

PONSSE’s forest machines are based on environmentally friendly cut-to-length (CTL) logging, where trees are felled, delimbed and cut into various log assortments before they leave the forest. Their product range includes different size categories of forest machines, from first thinning and the harvesting of forest energy to heavy-duty regeneration felling, at different logging sites, from soft soil to steep slopes. PONSSE products and their key components are designed and manufactured by Ponsse in Vieremä. A good product range and confidential customer relationships are Ponsse’s foundation stones, together with its strong values, committed personnel, as well as history and traditions. Einari mentioned, “We manufacture the best forest machines in the world.”
