IFMAC and WOODMAC Continues Success

DSC_0899The 4th edition of IFMAC and WOODMAC continued on a promising growth path since its first staging in 2012.

 

The exhibition hall is packed withmajor names of global industry players exhibiting their latest innovation along with local prominent machine distributors, equipment manufacturers and products suppliers from across Indonesia and the region. This year, the complementary exhibitions were staged amidst stronger international presence with 178 exhibitors from 18 countries including first-time participation from established companies such as TECE Dekor A.S, Wood-Mizer Industries SP.ZO.O, Shoda Iron Works Co.,Ltd., ALFA Klebstoffe AG, Protecta Wooden Sdn Bhd, Frezite-Ferramentas De Corte representing Turkey, Poland, Japan, Switzerland, Denmark, Portugal, Denmark, Portugal respectively.

 

As Indonesia’s leading trade fair for its flourishing furniture and woodworking industries, IFMAC & WOODMAC 2015 delivered its objective in presenting the best technologies and innovations for furniture manufacturing components as well as woodworking machinery over from September 17 to 19, at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran.

 

IMG_8425Mr Abdul Sobur, Chairman of the Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Association (AMKRI) said that, “The association strongly supports IFMAC & WOODMAC 2015. This exhibition is vital to boost the industry’s need for more advanced manufacturing technology and machinery that can enhance production efficiency productivity to compete at international markets.” Mr Sobur who addressed a full-house crowd at the concurrent seminar on‘Sustainable Furniture Industry – Focusing in Global Market Trends on Design and Technology’ also stressed that “The strong support from the local government to grow the nation’s furniture industry to reach its USD 5 billion worth mark over the next few years should encouraged local manufacturers to ensure that their business remain profitable and sustainable. Improved investment is needed to secure new investments in better technologies and manufacturing systems.”

 

Close to 11,000 international and local businessmen, industry specialists, trade buyers and other related professionals in the furniture industry were swarming across the exhibition halls. Reviewing the good pool of visitors that he had engaged with, Max Theobald, PT Leitz Tooling Indonesia shared that,” We are very happy to participate in this event. Through this event, we are able to keep in contact with our current customers, and of course, we are also able to expand our customer base by getting new customers.”

 

The excitement also came from the visitor’s side who is very pleased with the outcome of their visit. They are amazed with the amount of crowd that came through the exhibitions, and most importantly, they have managed to find their targeted products.

 

From CNC machines, woodcutting presses and edge banding machinery, tools and components, raw materials and solutions for interior works, adhesives, abrasive, paint, coatings and fitting needs, IFMAC & WOODMAC 2015’s participating companies scored numerous sales and attained promising orders on their products. According to Mr. Filippo Salmaso of Griggio (CV Sinarmasindo), “IFMAC gave good opportunity to us to meet many potential buyers and sell a lot of machine.”
