Woodtech Egypt is all set to perform

 Wednesday, November 1, 2017

woodtechThe first wood design and technology seminar has been a success
More than 250 architects, interior designers and furniture manufacturers participated in the seminary held in Cairo; the second step will be WOODTECH FORUM, from November 11 to 13 in Damietta: two events in order to build the biggest consent before the first edition of WOODTECH Egypt – Timber, design and furniture Exhibition that will be held in Cairo in February.

Last year, the managers of WOODTECH Egypt defined a very ambitious project before the timber, design and furniture technology exhibition in February, a “series” of meetings that are going to convey in this innovative project all the interested categories, by offering opportunities to achieve knowledge and information.

A new appointment will be held in a few days, in November: talking about WOODTECH Forum, the big B2B event on its second edition that allows the entire furniture and wood working sector to meet in its capital, the area Damietta, that the Egyptian government transformed into the country’s biggest district dedicated to the furniture production.

Businessmen, designers and personalities coming from everywhere in Europe will take these three days chance to talk about the most relevant themes, such as the use and transformation of wood; these are topics that the Egyptian market – and generally the African continent – are looking at with great attention. Brands like Blum, Egger, Hettich, Scm Group, Kastamonu and Hafele will take part at the event.

WOODTECH EGYPT

The third and most important step will surely be the first edition of WOODTECH Egypt – Timber, design and furniture Exhibition, that will be held at CICC-Cairo International Convention Centre from next February 16th to 18th. There have been lots of presences and the attention from the Italian, German and European industries is always increasing, as they’re verifying the validity of the “system” perfected by the managers, thank to the meetings and the “preparing” events that are going to attract a more and more thick and heterogeneous public of operators in the big February kermesse. An appointment that everyday is revealing more important: there are signals that it is becoming not only an exhibition for the dynamic Egyptian market, but also able to involve great part of the African continent. Companies and groups like Egger, Fantoni, Scm, Homag, Hettich, Hafele, Akritas, Alfawood, Goodwood confirmed their participation.

B2B MEETINGS

Woodtech-Egypt will be not just a big place where to discuss about business, but an event built to allow everyone to find an answer to his proper needs in a market that’s moving fast.

Epf: the panel world looks at Africa

WOODTECH Egypt will host the “EPF for Africa” forum, a deepening day between the most important panels producers that take part in Epf- European Panel Federation and the biggest furniture producers and wood traders from the African continent, an industry that in this area is living and extremely fast evolution.

“We see in WOODTECH Egypt an excellent chance to extend our contacts in Egypt and in the whole African continent: here lies the choice to organize a great seminary that will function as a “bridge” between the European productors and the institutes and the African users to have a feedback on the increasing richness and complexity of the wood panels world, talking about production, technic characteristics, rules, marketing and lots of possible employments in the furniture and construction world”, commented Clive Pinnington, the European association director.

Europe chooses WOODTECH Egypt, a complete showcase

Many protagonists of the sector are joining the new exhibition, presences that will allow the visitors to know the best productions for many sectors, from flooring to wood windows, from decorative surfaces to doors, from kitchens and furnitures to machines and technologies, without forgetting veneers, tools, solid wood, panels, complements and supplies.

A fair that’s preferred by many industries and by European leaders for a strong choice: present themselves to a market more and more mature and that is looking for new modalities of growth – just as Egypt and, more in general, biggest part of Africa – with a “European” set, with absolute quality and efficiency standards.

Egypt – and it’s good to underline it – is the biggest market in that area between Africa and Middle East, a meeting point that attracts the interest of the major Arabian and African countries, reminding its nature to be the best place for the European industries that aim to establish new relationships in this part of the world. With more than 100 millions inhabitants and a 3,8% growth in 2016 – augmented the furniture export beyond 400 million of US dollars in that same year. The National demanding for home furniture and wood import are increasing quickly too, reaching a million cubic metres today.
