Technocell Dekor witnesses a successful Interzum 2015

felixTechnocell Dekor, one of the Osnabrück-based Felix Schoeller Group’s business units, set off for this year’s Interzum (5-8 May in Cologne) with great ambitions. Its overall aim for the show was to go into more depth about its brand promise: Solutions first. It achieved this by presenting it in greater detail and with more emotional appeal. A further aim was to create themed areas to give customers the opportunity to experience the business unit’s range of products and services. The general conclusion after the show was that the team had enjoyed intensive and promising meetings with existing customers and generated a great many valuable new contacts. This is reflected in the lively post-show business.

 
Even before its appearance at Interzum, which was important in international terms, the “Solutions first” brand promise, which was launched in 2013, had been refined to give the Technocell Dekor business unit a more distinct profile and make it a stronger brand. Various branding elements and communication resources which – combined with a more easily understandable communications policy – are intended to increase customer loyalty and boost the brand’s emotional appeal, were on display at the Interzum stand. They included the solutions arrow, which symbolically points to the systematic path to a solution and the new solutions logo, which combines Technocell Dekor’s six “solution worlds” – Research Solutions, Paper Solutions, Cost-Down Solutions, Colour Solutions, Service Solutions and Worldwide Solutions – into a graphic form designed to make a strong impact on the customer.

 

As a new product, Technocell Dekor presented the coloured core papers they have jointly developed with Hans Schmid KG of Gronau. Not only base paper samples and handy sample books were on display, but also one of the product’s popular applications: all the tables in the lounge area were made of red core paper.

 
The developments that the company’s increasingly important pre-impregnated product (PRIP®) has undergone in recent years were explained in an easy to understand way and its future strategy – reaffirmed by the investment in capacity planned for this year – was illustrated.

 

An impressive arrangement of over 100 samples of coloured base paper underlined Technocell Dekor’s competence and expertise in colour development. The recently established, market-oriented R&D team presented its clearly defined R&D processes and impressed visitors with its extensive analytical knowledge.
Technocell Dekor’s presence at this year’s Interzum was ground-breaking in every respect: the team was able to convince existing customers and new contacts alike of the benefits of the company’s range of solutions and give them the opportunity to experience decor paper hands-on.
