LEUCO Switzerland appoints new managing director

LEUCO Switzerland recently appointed its new managing director after Reinhard Mathis left the office. After more than 27 years as managing director of LEUCO AG in St. Margrethen (Canton of St. Gallen/Switzerland), Reinhard Mathis handed over the duties to his successor Michael Wohlgensinger. He took up the duties from the beginning of August 2023.

The 42-year-old’s previous professional positions have been in the areas of technology, sales and project management in the wood, machine and tool industries as well as as a member of the management board in the IT industry. He would like to use his many years of experience and expertise to continue to offer the high quality tool standards together with the competent workforce and to further expand the advantages of LEUCO for customers.

“It is very important to me to understand the requirements exactly, to provide the right tool solutions for them and to further expand LEUCO’s good cooperation with the industry in Switzerland,” says Michael Wohlgensinger.

LEUCO now stands out to be one of world’s largest suppliers of caarbide and diamond-tipped machine tools for wood and plastic processing. The company’s product range includes circular saw blades, hoggers, bore-type and shank-type cutters, drills, clamping systems and inserts.
Sharpening service, application consulting and service packages bundled under the term „Tool management“ complete the spectrum. It is expanding with its customers from sawmills, building, furniture and panelling industry.

LEUCO Switzerland was founded in 1969. In the present day it has transformed to be one of the leading provider of new tools, sharpening services and machine tools for the wood and furniture industry in Switzerland while employing 34 people.
