RAUTE, founded in 1908, aways focuses on future-proof woodworking industry. With over 750 dedicated employees worldwide, we specialize in production solutions for engineered wood products. More than half of the world’s LVL is produced with Raute machines. Now, they have released their first quarter result of 2024 which is pretty successful and interesting.
RAUTE is already facing the latter part of April 2024. As always, the start of the year has gone in the blink of an eye and some people are already counting the days until Christmas (which is by the way in 245 days). But, to reflect on the first quarter of 2024, what have they been up to at Raute so far? Catch up with the latest below!

Raute Corporation appoints Markus Sirviö as the head of Analyzers business unit
Mr. Markus Sirviö, 44, has resumed the role of Executive Vice President of the Analyzers business unit and join the Executive Board of Raute Corporation. The role was effective from January 2024. Previously overseeing the Kajaani and Nastola-based business line within the same unit, Markus brings a rich background from his 22 years at Raute, where he has held various positions in technology, product management, sales, and general management. Markus is a holder of a B.Sc. (Tech) degree.
The position of EVP, Analyzers became open when the previous position holder Mr. Jani Roivainen moved to a new role in Raute’s Executive Board as announced on December 20, 2023.

Raute has published its Annual Report 2023 in English and Finnish. The report is about our operating environment, business operations and strategy and it also highlights the key points of our corporate responsibility and financial performance in 2023.
Project Updates
Order of EUR 20 million to Latvia and full-scope service agreement with Paged Eesti
In February 2024, Raute Corporation announced a significant EUR 20 million agreement with AmberBirch, SIA of Latvia to supply technology for the expansion of a birch veneer production plant, increasing its capacity by 60,000 m3/a. This is considered as a significant movement of RAUTE in woodworking industry. The comprehensive order encompasses all principal veneer production processes, a substantial service package, and the MillSIGHTS MIS-software. The delivery of the ordered machinery and equipment is scheduled between the end of 2024 and early 2025.
Also announced in February 2024, Raute Corporation has signed a service agreement with Paged Eesti OÜ, Estonia, part of Paged Group, covering full maintenance responsibility of the production machinery including consumables, spare parts, and small upgrades. The maintenance team, 19 persons, of Paged Eesti is transferred to Raute services team. “This agreement aligns with Raute’s service strategy, aimed at deepening collaboration with our valued customers,” says Kurt Bossuyt, EVP Services of Raute.
