LignoLoc wooden nail system at LIGNA 2019

 Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Austria based BECK Fastener Group is gearing up to showcase the latest model in Lignoloc wooden nail system at LIGNA. In May, the nail system will be live in action in Hannover – for the first time on an international platform. In combination with other wood working tools, the nail system is a real team player.

The new F60 system offers larger dimensions, better pull-out and more scopes to work with timber construction. With a new advanced model the company now takes the product to the next level. Its latest systems comprise of F60 Lignoloc pneumatic nailer from the BECK subsidiary FASCO along with beechwood nails in lengths between 45 to 90 millimetres and diameters between 4.7 and 5.3 millimetres.

The new Lignoloc wooden nail system is most useful in making environment friendly timber houses. These Lignoloc wooden nails are also used in thermal bridges and there are no chances of corrosion or damage. Since these are fungal resistant, are suitable for outdoor usage. This LingnoLoc F60 pneumatic nailer supports with an apt force for apt penetration in the wood or wood-based materials.

As the BECK LignoLoc nails are drilled, these meld into the surrounding wood to form a permanent bond. This “lignin welding effect” has been tested and confirmed by scientists from the University of Hamburg, whose results were also published in the European Journal of Wood and Wood Products in January 2018. Nova-Institute study, however, concluded that making LignoLoc wooden nails generates only a quarter of the greenhouse gases produced when manufacturing technically comparable steel nails.
