The paint specialist’s technical center in Herrenberg has recently been equipped with surface finishing machines – to experience them live in action.

 

Extensive test runs for HOMAG customers

In order to determine the right surface technology for the high-quality processing of wood surfaces, it usually requires extensive test runs. Often it is only small factors that are crucial for an optimal end result.

 

For users who are at home in the manufacture of furniture and components with sophisticated surfaces, the IVM Chemicals technical center offers a high level of local consulting expertise. Experts from the surface team of HOMAG and Dürr, application technicians of the brand Croma Lacke and specialists from the research and development laboratories of the IVM Group provide on-site comprehensive, professional and individual advice.

Everything under one roof: sanding, priming, intermediate sanding, topcoat

In Herrenberg, application solutions will be presented live with numerous options for testing materials, machine technology and processes in combination with the user. As a machine manufacturer, HOMAG installed a copy of the HOMAG series SPRAYTEQ S-100 in Herrenberg – one of the most modern, highly efficient spray systems on the market, based on the partnership with the renowned Makor brand. The new series was presented for the first time at LIGNA 2017. With the SPRAYTEQ S-100, the woodworking companies have an optimally tailored line of spray painting machines at their disposal to enter into automated spray painting. In different design variants, the SPRAYTEQ S-100 series serves different requirements and production volumes. It can be configured as an autonomous spraying machine, as part of extensive coating systems or in combination with automated workpiece handling as an autonomous paint booth.

 

In addition to the HOMAG spray painting machine, the consulting center is currently equipped with a HOMAG wide belt sanding machine SANDTEQ W-200. In addition, the technical center also has a combined nozzle channel with TL and IR dryers. With this machine all different air volumes and temperatures can be simulated. As a result, every dryer situation can be adjusted. There are also new rollers and UV lamps. So it is u. a. It is possible to test and demonstrate applications from the Croma Lacke range on the most up-to-date machine technologies and UV rolling systems in the parquet and door industry.
