Södra Cell is now part of Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening. The merger was approved by the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
In practice, this means that Södra Cell AB is no longer a limited company. The company’s former corporate identity number no longer exists, and has been replaced by the corporate identity number of Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening.
All commercial agreements signed by Södra Cell in respect of supply commitments, agreed prices, discounts and other conditions remain unchanged.
In December 2013, the Board of Södra decided to adopt a new strategy for the Södra Group, with the goal of creating a more cohesive and efficient Group. To disincorporate and merge the subsidiaries into the Parent Company, Södra Skogsägarna ekonomisk förening, was part of this decision. This will create conditions for efficiency enhancements within the organisation, financial model and accounting processes and systems.
