The Chinese Lian Jiang Huasen Wood Industry Co., Ltd ordered a press line for the production of particleboard for its production site in Lianjiang, Zhanjiang City. With this direct order for Siempelkamp (Qingdao) Machinery & Equipment Co. Ltd., a new era in international cooperation has begun which will safeguard Siempelkamp’s technology and market leadership in the Chinese market. To offer the standard Siempelkamp quality in each market environment, the Krefeld company leverages the location advantages that come with its latest production site in Qingdao.
Lian Jiang Huasen Wood Industry Co., Ltd, founded in 2007, is currently manufacturing 100,000 m³ of MDF annually and has established itself as leading wood-based materials manufacturer in the GuangDong province. As a result of the investment in the new Siempelkamp plant, the company will become the largest producer of particleboard in the western part of GuangDong – and the owner of the first continuous particleboard plant in the southwest of the province.
The scope of this first direct order for the Siempelkamp (Qingdao) Machinery & Equipment Co. Ltd. includes a resin blending and dosing system for particles, a 4-head forming station as well as a continuous press line with a 4’ x 33.8m ContiRoll® press. Also part of the delivery spectrum are a SicoScan package as well as the cooling and stacking line including the automated storage system. The Ecoformer SL (Surface Layer) mat forming system, built by the Siempelkamp subsidiary CMC Texpan in Italy, provides for homogenous and fine surface layer mat forming. Thus, Hua De Li Group achieves material savings of up to 5 %. Furthermore, the innovative machine design of the wind former provides the customer with energy savings of up to 65 % due to the fact that the loss of pressure in the air flow system could be reduced by a multiple compared to traditional forming systems.
The heart of the future production plant will be the 4’ x 33.8m Generation 8 ContiRoll® press. The press will be designed for a contractually agreed production capacity of 270,000 m³ of particleboard annually. The primary characteristic of the new order from Lian Jiang Huasen Wood Industry Co., Ltd. is that, for the first time, the production capacities of the new Siempelkamp production site in Qingdao are used. In cooperation with the Krefeld parent plant, Siempelkamp (Qingdao) Machinery & Equipment Co. Ltd. will manufacture essential components for the ContiRoll®. Thus, Siempelkamp, together with the plant in Wuxi, is optimally making use of its location advantages in China in order to provide customers in the local market environment all competitive advantages at a particularly attractive price. Lian Jiang Huasen Wood Industry Co., Ltd will start operating the new production plant at the end of 2017; the start of the installation is planned for the summer of 2017.
