Dr. Stephan Niggeschmidt has become a new member of the management of Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH (SLS). Effective January 1, 2018 Dr. Niggeschmidt has been appointed as managing director in addition to the other two acting managing directors, Stefan Wissing and Thomas Dahmen.
Since he joined the company in May of 2013, the industrial engineer and holder of a doctorate in mechanical engineering managed the area of service installations at SLS. Only a year later, as the branch manager of the SLS location in Krefeld, Dr. Niggeschmidt became responsible for spare parts sales, service installations, retrofits and upgrades. As a new member of the management, Dr. Niggeschmidt will manage the future business activities of Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH and its worldwide representations.
For 135 years, the name Siempelkamp has stood for solid entrepreneurship. This also includes after-sales service that reacts quickly and delivers quality. To bundle these service competences and make them even more effective, the Siempelkamp service department has been acting as an independent company under the name Siempelkamp Logistics & Service GmbH (short: SLS) since 2010.
SLS employs 140 employees and has its own logistics center with a storage area of approx. 7,000 m² for spare parts at the company’s headquarters in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. As an accredited shipper SLS has quick access to the Frankfurt airport and offers Siempelkamp customers 24-hour service. In addition to its headquarters, SLS has two additional locations in Germany, in Wolfratshausen as well as at the Siempelkamp headquarters in Krefeld, the main production location.
