Norton, a division of Saint-Gobain Abrasives, manufactures abrasive belts, sheets, discs, rolls, sponges and accessories used for wood sanding and finishing, as well as other industrial applications.
Norton says it offers abrasives in a wide variety of grits and shapes that conform to the curves and contours of even the most intricate pieces of furniture providing uniform sanding results plus cloth-backed abrasives that resist against tearing.
Norton will exhibit its abrasive technology at booth #2213 of the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo, Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the International Centre. Products include:
• Norton A275 a heat-treated, P-graded aluminum oxide abrasive coupled with an anti-loading agent and bonded on a tear-resistant latex/paper backing.
• No-Fil stearate abrasives that Norton says “cut faster, run cooler, and last longer in order to maximize productivity.”
• Multi-Air Cyclonic laser cut vacuum discs and rolls to maximize dust extraction from sanding processes.
• Meshpower discs, Norton’s newest product, have an open mesh backing to facilitiate dust extraction for a cleaner work environment.
