Nobilia Achieves Solid Ground Home & Abroad

nobilia_logoThe reputed kitchen furniture manufacturer Nobilia has reportedly raised its sales revenue by an approximate 2.8% in the year 2013 resulting in as much as €923.4m. The domestic sales revenue increased by 2.8% last time around amounting to €561.9m.


Irrespective of the astounding domestic sales records what grabs more attention is that the company has recorded growth of €10.4m or 3.0% in export to €361.5m. This was the first time in the last ten years that the absolute increase achieved in sales revenue on the domestic market was higher than abroad.


Nobilia’s CEO Dr Günter Scheipermeier attributes this trend reversal to the weakness of a variety of foreign markets. This also indicates on the overall increasing demand of European kitchen modules in the markets of Asia, North America and the Middle East. The export share was nevertheless held steady at the previous year’s level of 39.1% which is very commanding and also at the same time provides positive signs of hope for the European kitchen furniture manufacturers.
