LIGNA 2019: a platform for start-ups to meet the industry leaders

 Monday, May 20, 2019

The start-up GM Waagen GmbH will be at LIGNA 2019 in Hall 26, Stand B15/1 to showcase its innovations and creativity to the market leaders, professionals and wood working enthusiasts. GM Waagen GmbH will exhibit a platform scale that is designed to optimise the even application of materials when manufacturing MDF and chipboard panels.

GM Waagen GmbH is an up-and-coming start-up from the former GM Messtechnik UG. The company is based in Cologne. GM Waagen GmbH focuses on developing specific, tailored and specific scales. The start-up company GM Waagen GmbH is committed to learn ways of optimum solution, so that the customers can solve problem. At this year’s LIGNA in Hannover, GM Waagen will be talking for the first time about a challenging projects it has undertaken and will soon finalise to enrich the woodworking industry. Manufacturing MDF or chipboard panels includes a process of using machines that scatter several materials over the conveyor belt, pre-compacting them as well as compressing them. It is essential to apply chips and wood fibres as evenly as possible and in the right quantities over the belt.

This platform scale that is to be exhibited at the show LIGNA 2019 is designed to offer the perfect solution to the challenges faced while using the machines. Including the right measurements it has taken into the control system, it regulates the weight per square meter with the utmost precision. After the compression, the size of the panels are reduced and then weighed and selected based on the same principle. The new Trigular measuring frame with transverse and longitudinal links, that can be designed with a mesh or plastic belt, a wooden table or even a roller conveyor, is vital for these processes.
