iGiotto Robot to rule Paint Expo

 Friday, April 15, 2016

Cefla_updatedCefla Finishing will be demonstrating the much appreciated iGiotto Robot at the Paint Expo trade fair to be held in Karlsruhe, Germany, from April 19 to 22, 2016.  The Cefla stand will be located in Hall 2 – Booth 2250. With nearly 500 exhibitors from 26 different countries, this sixth edition of Paint Expo, a well-established trade fair dedicated to the field of industrial finishing, will be the largest to be held so far. Cefla will be present at the event with iGiotto and some of the latest solutions for coating small and large-scale items with 3D trajectories and particularly complex curved surfaces such as vases, helmets, glasses and interior parts for cars.

The Cefla technicians will take to the trade fair an iGiotto robot which will simulate work on two lines.

The first will be an air line for coating Pvc doors and windows and both small and large two-dimensional items, with an automatic system for scanning the shape of the item to be painted and creating automatically generated trajectories. The second line will be on the ground to be used for complex three-dimensional items, typical of the automotive field, with point-to-point programming for a gloss finish.

When using, for example, the ultra-violet gloss finish line for items such as motorcycle helmets, it is divided into half a dozen phases, starting with the blowing and de-ionisation of the surfaces and continuing with the water curtain booth, which provides a high quality gloss finish; the continuous water filtration system; the curved reciprocating finishing system with electrostatic spraying
