IFMAC 2019- more international than ever

 Wednesday, October 9, 2019

Supported by Deutsche Messe, this year IFMAC kicked off on October 9 and drives internationality of Indonesia’s furniture industry to new heights. Since collaboration with Deutsche Messe started earlier this year, International companies have swiftly taken up booth spaces to bring their latest technologies to spur Indonesia’s furniture industry development. For the 8th edition, beginning today on the October 9 to 12 October 2019 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran – Indonesia, industry professionals are treated to an expanded show floor and exhilarating on-site activities for a meaningful visit.

IFMAC 2019 is led by a league of world players in the furniture manufacturing industry, such as Alpha Utama Mandiri, American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), Ekamant Indonesia, SCM Group, and Global Timber Asia who have exhibited regularly at the exhibition since it started. This year, being under the Ligna’s family of exhibitions serving the woodworking sector has attracted more European and other global companies to come explore the Indonesian market through IFMAC. These first-time exhibiting companies include Ledinek GmbH from Austria, Robland NV from Belgium, Ducerf Sa from France respectively.

According to Rini Sumardi, Director of PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), organiser of IFMAC, “With more international companies joining us this year, IFMAC has once again proved to be an important market for furniture manufacturing. Established manufacturers who have performed well globally are now focusing their efforts to support growth in Asia and through IFMAC, Indonesia has given them an opportunity to expand their business here and serve the regional markets by making the country their production base.”

For the 2019 show, IFMAC stresses on competitively-priced technological offering and solutions that are viable for purchase by furniture manufacturers of various size, particularly the many small and medium size producers that are prudent in their machinery options and need to identify assets that can cater to their production output that is driven by buoyant domestic and export demands. By connecting them to market leaders who are invested in growing the Indonesian market, IFMAC matches local players who are committed to undergo transformations in their processes, operational systems and approach to quality upgrading with serious international investors.

IFMAC will continue to drive technology transformation for Indonesia’s furniture production industry, paving inroads for SME furniture manufacturers to boost their operational performance and output with advanced machinery and innovative solutions. With the return of many international companies and participation of first-time exhibitors, IFMAC strengthens its position as the all-serving exhibition that presents global technologies required to support the country’s growing furniture industry.

As a full spectrum exhibition with a variety of products serving the entire value chain of furniture production processes, IFMAC also serves as an information platform. The strong line-up of concurrent seminars that covers issues on current developments and trends influencing the furniture industry development will also bring fruitful insights to be optimistic about the bountiful business opportunities in Indonesia’s furniture sector. Trade visitors will benefit from viewing the large technology offerings and supporting services to improve their production performance. Trade visitors can look forward to identify technologies that can help them innovate, automate, digitize and integrate their business systems with high-tech solutions brought through IFMAC over the 4-days exhibition.
