HOMAG plans to present the future of panel dividing at LIGNA with their latest developments and new saw concept. The new automatic robot saws will enhance strength and cutting process to operation. The audience will be able to view the compact saws and the new SAWTEQ B-300 now with storage system integration and intelliGuide at the HOMAG innovation centre.
SAWTEQ B-300 flexTec and SAWTEQ B-400 flexTec could be used in both manual or in the robot mode. The SAWTEQ B-300 flexTec was introduced in the exhibition in autumn 2018, will be showcased this year at the international public at LIGNA 2019. These new saws are versatile in nature and could be used to carry out a number of tasks such as cutting books or thin panels, process special materials needed by the joiner. These saws may be used to perform single-panel cutting jobs fully automatically for long periods being conducted by the integrated robot. An absolute innovation – ergonomic, saves time and material-friendly.
The robot knows all about the single-panel cutting process. It penetrates the panel and the saw then performs rip cuts accurately. After cutting the panel the finished parts are labeled and stacked by the robot. The robot uses intelligent software developed on a specific algorithm and manages the stacking process appropriately.
• Automatic operation could be conducted without delay for a longer period
• Manages work load by reducing pressure from employees
• Handles about 800 parts per shift
• Very low error rates
• No prior robotics knowledge needed
This year LIGNA will experience innovation in panel dividing apart from the cutting process as HOMAG will demonstrate the automatic production process.
