Giardina to unveil new Excimer Technology at LIGNA:

 Wednesday, May 8, 2019

Giardina’s new excimer matting technology will be presented at LIGNA stand (Hall 16, stand A12) to exhibit their innovations. The all new excimer matting technology will be showcased at the event this year. The company has previously presented spray-painted tridimensional surfaces, for parquet and for plain furniture elements.

The team will present “Softy”, an extremely soft roller that helps in achieving spray-machines with roller-machines. They will display the first pictures of the “Giampiero Mauri Innovation Centre”, at the new 1.500 mq showroom that is scheduled to be inaugurated in October. During the whole fair time, visitors will be able to explore new technologies at work with the world’s most important paint producer’s products (Sirca, Ica, Sherwin Williams, Adler Lacke, Heidelberg Coatings).

Matt finishing has gained popularity in recent times. The Excimer technology now makes it possible to solve the spraying problem this paint, however, has special characteristics and suitable for use in special lamps that act in a nitrogen-rich environment, the surface structure can be reticulated to obtain a zero gloss surface, resistant, without damages to the support.

Giardina innovations have several advantages, an extremely matt surface (from 1.5 to 5 gloss), a softness to the touch, an increase in abrasion resistance up to five times that obtained with traditional painting systems, a higher chemical resistance, an anti-fingerprint surface, resistance to yellowing, and a possibility to obtain surfaces with a smooth and uniform three-dimensional effect. Other benefits, in general, include easy production of furniture, kitchens and floors and also different materials, including building components, cement, fibre cement, glass, plastics or composites and metal.

Having gained success in the laboratories amidst manufacturers, Giardina Group is now ready with the new GST ZeroGloss dryer, to enter the aggressive production processes.
With the advent of Excimer technology, Giardina says, “it is now possible to obtain super matt surfaces, a much higher chemical and mechanical resistance, a perfect adhesion of the varnishing product to the support, and the maximum ease in cleaning operations on any type of surface.”
