Recently in February, the German Design Award 2017 was presented in Frankfurt. The wood-based material manufacturer EGGER received the “Special Mention” award in the category “Materials and Surfaces” at the event. The new ST76 Matex Rough Matt surface and the Doppia furniture edge in black-gold were awarded.
“Every award of our products is also an award in our technical investments as well as our trend and innovation ideas,” congratulates Klaus Monhoff, Head of EGGER Design and Decentral Management at the award ceremony in Frankfurt.
“Special Mention” for haptics and optics
Currently, the combination of matt and stone is particularly popular with surfaces. With the ST76 Matex RoughMatt, EGGER meets this design requirement – now also excellent. The surface novelty is modeled on a flamed and soft brushed natural stone surface and can be used on a variety of stone reproductions.
With the Doppia PMMA collection EGGER takes up the trend of accents and contrasts in furniture design. This edging variant is especially used in upscale interior design, with furniture fronts, table tops, kitchen and bathroom furniture. The visual perfection is achieved thanks to its narrow joint.
