woodandpaneleurope What are your expectations from Woodtech India 2014?
Hemant D. Kurle : We had a great show here in 2012 and this expo gave us an oppurtunity to display our machines and interact with customers from Tamil Nadu and Kerala and we expect a much better turn out in 2014.

woodandpaneleurope Are you going to introduce any new machinery in the show?
Hemant D. Kurle : We will be displaying our new flat table multi-purpose CNC router, the ROVER J GFT. This machine will have a special unit with a camera, oscillating & tangential knives. This machine will be a special attraction for the signage industry players and also the machine will process panels and furniture elements. We will also be displaying our new offering for edge banding requirements, the through feed edge banding machine JADE 200.

woodandpaneleurope How has the previous two shows of Woodtech India been for you?
Hemant D. Kurle : We had participated in the 2012 edition and we were very impressed with visitor turnout and we did good business then. We have bigger expections this time.

woodandpaneleurope In tandem with the current economic situation, are we going to see any change in market concentration?
Hemant D. Kurle : The furniture and the related market has been steadily growing since the last few years and there is competion here in the form of local and foriegn machinery manufacturers and we have a market that is segmented into artisans, workshops and factories. Definitely there are opportunities and we will see for more new players in the market. We have a state of the art manufacturing facility in Bangalore and the quality of our products are on par with any machines across the globe.

woodandpaneleurope Do you have plans to focus more on Indian market?
Hemant D. Kurle : We are manufacturing wood working machines here in India since 2006, we are already focussed on the Indian market and our products are being developed here locally keeping our Indian customers in mind. We have developed CNC routers, edge banding machines, panel sizing machines in our facility here and we have invested heavily and will continue to do so in our production facilities and human resources. The feedback about our products have been very very encouraging and we will continue to make products focussing on the Indian customers’ needs.

woodandpaneleurope How is the industry faring in the markets of Europe, Asia and Middle East?
Hemant D. Kurle : The markets in Europe seem to be showing signs of revival, Asia and Middle East are in growth mode and this trend will continue in the coming years.
